Jim O'Connor How do you know who the best person to help is? If you are looking at this web site you are either looking for help for yourself or or you are looking to find help for a friend. It can be difficult to decide who is the best person to see. Do you need a relationships counsellor or relationship psychotherapist a relationship coach or all of the above. I am fully qualified in psychotherapy, counselling and adult coaching. I am fully qualified in all four of these areas as I have a Masters degree in Applied Psychotherapy, a Graduate Diploma of Counselling, an Advanced Practitioner Certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy as well as a Certificate IV in Work Place Training and Assessment. Further to these formal qualifications I have spent many years completing relationship enhancement courses at a number of Australia's leading relationships counselling institutions. My methods are based on scientific research and are flexible enough to suit you. If you are looking for someone who has the training and experience to create a flexible and effective approach to your relationship problem or concern, I would like to offer my services. I will formulate a plan that is flexible enough to work with you and how you learn best. Every day in my practices I help individuals and couples with relationship issues of all kinds. Some people simply need relationship coaching, for some a more intense program of relationship counselling finally in more complex situations people need psychotherapy for relationship concerns. My approach is structured and gives you answers to your questions as well as providing you with strategies that work. My approach to helping people is always friendly however I believe it is important that I give you answers and a structured approach that works. It is also important to me that you get results in as quick a time as is realistic without jeopardizing lasting change. This why I base all of my approaches on modern scientific research. I adhere to high professional and ethical standards When choosing a therapist or coach it is important to know that they adhere to high professional, educational and ethical standards. I am a full Clinical Member of three Associations. P.A.C.F.A (Psychotherapist and Counsellors Association of Australia) which is the national association for psychotherapists and counsellors. C.A.P.A (Counsellors and Psychotherapists Asssocieation of NSW) which is the state association for counsellors and psychotherapists. As well as the A.A.C.B.T (Australian Association of Cognitive Behavioural Therapists) which is the national association through which advances in Cognitve Behaviour psychology are taught to therapists. What ever your situation I can help. Whether you want a strict counselling or psychotherapy or coaching, or a combination of all of these I am able to help. If you have any questions would send me an email or phone to ask me directly but above all don't hesitate to contact me so that we can get started helping you look forward to tomorrow.
