General Stress in Relationships The effect of all forms general stress on sufferers and the people who care for them can be great putting enormous pressures on relationships. Sometimes however stress can be exacerbated by the way we respond to it. All humans have a limited capacity for stress. It is true that for some our capacity for stress is enormous however even these people have limitations. Stress related mental health conditions are on the rise and we believe that this is because of the increasing demands of modern living with insufficient time to address them. To excacerbate this problem many people are failing to get adequate rest and recovery before they are neck deep in the next stressful experiences. The sorts of things that are stressing modern people inclulde deadlines, demanding family lives, career pressure, accidents injuries and falls, excessive mental demands, constant need to learn and change, change in and of itself, noise and other environmental stress, fears about the future, relationship stress, career stress, information overload, choice overload, poor stress management strategies, poor self care strategies, and much much more. General Stress shares many of the same symptoms of anxiety, however in the case of stress their doesn't have to be some frightening experience to trigger the stress.
