General Anxiety In Relationships The effect of all forms of general anxiety on sufferers and a the people who care for them can be great putting enormous pressures on relationships. Anxiety is a normal human response to the perception of threats or frightening experiences. Under normal circumstances anxiety is an infrequent experience. However with the fast pace of modern living, the decrease in peoples sense of security, with the daily news describing frightening or distressing experiences every day people are becoming more and more worried or frightened about every day living. The person who has general anxiety or its big brother, general anxiety disorder will experience worry or fear around things such as the health of themselves or the people they care about. they will worry about their own financial security, or the the financial security of the people they care about. They will worry about safety issues, mental health, the state of the economy, the cost of living, the quality of their relationships and more. In general terms, general anxiety occurs when a person experiences anxiety about a number of normal everyday experiences to the point where they start to exhibit symptoms of distress.
